Laser Hair Removal

Problem:

Are you bothered by unsightly hair on your face, legs, bikini area, or back? Are you tired of daily shaving? Have you used depilatory creams or tried waxing to remove hair? Do you find electrolysis to be painful and time-consuming?

Solution:

Laser hair removal can quickly and safely tame a cosmetic hair concern you wish to resolve.

For both men and woman, excessive hair can be embarrassing or unsightly. Now there are sophisticated laser techniques to permanently reduce or remove unwanted body hair; quickly and gently - making you feel more confident.

How does a laser remove hair?

For hair removal, a low energy laser beam is used to remove unwanted or excessive hair. as the laser energy passes through the skin, it is absorbed by the color (pigment) in the hair's rot, destroying it without damaging surrounding tissue. hair falls out gradually over the next two to three weeks. Normally, more than one session is required to capture the hair follicles at the ideal growth stage.

Where on the body can a laser be used for hair removal?

Using a focused laser beam, we can target a small area, such as your chin or upper lip, or larger areas such as your back or legs for sage, effective hair removal.

Is laser hair removal for me?

Because the hair pigment absorbs the laser beam, laser hair removal is most, effective on darker hair. During our consultation, we'll discuss your specific needs and recommend the most appropriate hair removal method.

How is laser hair removal different from other hair removal procedures?

Typical hair removal methods:

  • Tweezing is slow, temporary, and suitable only for small areas
  • Shaving requires regular daily maintenance and can irritate skin
  • Depilatory creams are messy and offer temporary solutions
  • Waxing may be painful and hair eventually grows back
  • Electrolysis can leave scarring, is painful, and time-consuming

Is laser hair removal painful?

As we gently guide the laser beam over your skin, you'll feel a slight tingling sensation. if needed, a topical anesthetic cream may be applied. Depending upon the size pf the treatment area, your session may last up to 60 minutes. Because the laser kills follicles only during their growth phase, multiple treatments are necessary to permanently eliminate hair.

What about recovery?

Immediately after treatment, your skin may be red or feel "sunburned". For the first 24 hours, avoid rubbing pr scrubbing, very hot showers, and sun exposure. treat the area gently and pat the skin dry. You can return to work and normal activities right away.

Can lasers be used to treat other conditions?

Lasers are used to correct a number of conditions including skin resurfacing, removing age spots, cosmetic eyelid treatment, spider vein treatment, and tattoo removal - to name a few.
